Welcome to Day 5 of the 7 Day Challenge

Make sure to read everything below before starting your meditation. Enjoy!

Abundance

When God created the universe, he put universal laws in place in which everything within the universe must abide by.  One of these universal laws is that every person will reap what they sow.  No matter what you may see on the surface, everyone is subject to these laws.

If we go through life taking and never giving anything back, we will always find ourselves lacking.  Although we may have an abundance of material wealth, if we do not contribute and give back to others, we will always be missing something in our lives.  Typically, this will be experienced as a lack of love, peace, or joy from our lives.

Are You Living Abundantly?

If you are not experiencing an abundance of love, peace, and joy in your life one of the first places to look is inward, by asking yourself a few questions:

  1. Do I feel an abundance of love, peace, and joy in my life?
  2. If I looked God in the eyes today, could I honestly tell him that I lived the abundant life he describes that we were created to live?

If you answered yes to the above questions, congratulations you are living a life of purpose and abundance!

If you did not, perhaps it is time to consider whether you are contributing to this planet and the lives of others.  God created us to enjoy every moment of our lives, but he also weaved the law of reaping what we sow into the very fabric of our existence.  If we are experiencing a lack of any sort, chances are that the reason is that we are experiencing the negative side of the universal law of reaping and sowing.

Preparing For The Meditation

When preparing for this mediation, consider any answers that were given to you in the previous meditation, where we searched deep to discover our gifts.

If you received divine guidance, then you will use the wisdom that was shared with you for the meditation.

If you did not receive anything in your last meditation that is perfectly okay.  These are tough questions and may take multiple meditations to begin to uncover your true potential.  You can either go back and revisit the last meditation, or you can follow the steps below.  Either way is completely fine and if you decide to go forward with this meditation without any divine understanding of your unique gifts, you may end up unraveling some secrets about your gifts right now.

The Meditation

If you know the gifts you have been given, then take this time to meditate and ask God how you can contribute your gifts to the world.  My advice is to show gratitude for being blessed with the gifts and expressing a true openness for offering them to God and to bless others.

If you are still unsure of your gifts, simply show an openness of wanting to discover your gifts so you can offer them to the world.

Start by calming your mind and body through deep breathing and relaxing as you normally would at the beginning of a meditation.  Once you are in a relaxed and open state, bring a gentle smile to your face and breathe in gratitude and love.

Start asking the questions, in your own words, of how you can use your gifts to bless others.  There is no correct formula to this, but I like to start by opening my heart to anything that God may be trying to speak and expressing my desire for giving back.  I try to feel it deep within every cell of my body and try to truly surrender to anything that may transpire.  If you are closed off in any way, you will receive no guidance.

Scriptures

Luke 6:38 – Give, and it will be given to you.  A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap.  For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

Galatians 6:7 – Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

Acts 20:35 In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’”

Joshua 1:8 – Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

Tips/Reminders
  • Asking God how you can contribute to this world is an even more direct route to communicating with him than offering praise or showing gratitude
  • If you offer your gifts or seek to discover them from the bottom of your heart, you will undoubtedly hear God’s voice if you continue to seek
  • If you are hesitant and not truly ready to offer your gifts, chances are you will not hear much from God. He knows our hearts.
  • Offering our gifts is the only way to receive true abundance
Start the meditation by watching the guided video below or by setting your own timer for 15 minutes.
