Looking for a green smoothie that is packed full of nutrients and tastes amazing?

I spent a TON of time researching the healthiest things to put into smoothies and how I could make one smoothie with everything packed into it.  This smoothie is packed full of vitamins and nutrients and tastes amazing!  And there are a bunch of variations you can easily make to create your own versions.

The Base

The following items make up the base of the smoothie.  These are the superfoods that are packed full of nutrients.  The other items in the ingredients listed below can be swapped out to create your own version.

  • ½ cup spinach
  • ½ cup red kale
  • ½ cup green kale
  • 1 tbsp. hemp seeds
  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds
  • ½ tsp. turmeric powder
  • 2 tsp. wheatgrass powder
  • 1 tsp. maca root powder
  • 1 scoop of spirulina powder
  • 1 scoop of superfood powder

 

The “Sauce”

Everything listed below, although very healthy, are what I call the sauce of this smoothie.  They are the fruits that give it the flavor.  These can easily be swapped out with any other fruit combination.  I make another version with blueberries, raspberries, and strawberries that is amazing.

  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3-5 strawberries
  • ¼ cup of frozen pineapple chunks
  • ½ banana (frozen)
  • ½ orange

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3-5 strawberries

  • ½ banana (frozen)
  • ½ orange

  • 1 tbsp. chia seeds

Instructions

Although there are a thousand different ways, the following is the way I found works best.

Step 1: Add the water and lemon juice

Step 2: Add all powders and seeds

Step 3: Add spinach and kale

Step 4: Add fruit

Step 5: Start blending
